MAF?
I have an '06 GMC CC Duramax with oiled Airaid filter, Edge chip, and my mileage seems to be lower than usual at 14-15 MPG. I need to change my fuel filter, and that is how I found this site. I saw in some threads that if you have an oiled air filter, that can gum up your MAF and that cleaning would help. Where is the MAF? Any pics available? Any help would be appreciated.
MAF IS AFTER THE FILTER IN THE TUBE, DEPENDS IF IT WAS RELOCATED IF A NEW TUBE WAS INSTALLED WITH YOUR FILTER. SHOULDNT BE HARD TO FIND. USE CRC MAF SENSOR CLEANER. DONT USE BRAKE CLEAN OR CAB CLEANER. I WOULDNT EVEN TOUCH IT JUST SPRAY AND LET IT AIR DRY. HOPE THIS HELPS
he meant carb cleaner
, hope you don't use cab cleaner, just kidding. the maf sensor will be in the intake tube the only sensor on it, it uses 2 screws to hold it in and has a plug on it. like said above pull it out, spray it off really good without touching it or blowing air through it and let it air dry and throw her back in!
