Default New and have questions????

I have an 04 5.9L with a AFE cold air, Banks 6 gun with the IQ. I am wanting to by the Banks monster exhaust and was wondering what ya'll thought about the Banks BigHead Wastegate Actuator? Is it worth it? Also, I don't see any fans of Banks on here, why? I went with them because of the safety aspect and I occasionally pull cattle and didn't want to tear anything up. I drive a lot and am wanting better fuel mileage, any suggestions?

I have the technicooler and high ram, but didn't really notice a difference. The paint is peeling the technicooler now. Try searching for the tone ring mod. It is free and will save you ~1mpg. An aftermarket lift pump will help your fuel economy as will the setting you run your 6gun on.

Do you know if the 6gun has boost fooling? If it does you should be good w/o the big head wastegate actuator. I love the way my smarty makes the truck run. EGTs are much cooler and it saves some fuel when I leave my foot off the throttle. I see mid to high 30s for boost when I get on it.

Just my opinion but banks is all advertising and overpriced. Yeah it might be "safe" but anything can happen and for the price you can get more elsewhere. Any of them could be safe just keep your foot outta the pedal 24/7.
