Question help

i have a 93 , 7.3 no turbo bone stock. one of my drivers ran some gas through the motor.the truck cranks fine and runs . when you put on the freeway around 55 mph the truck acts like its trying to run out of fuel. checked all fuel supply and return and things seem to check out ok . fuel pressure is good. question is would gas screw up the injection pump. or what would gas screw up in the fuel system

ok, how full are your tanks? the fuel pickup inthe tanks can break off, causing u to run out of fuel at 1/4 tank.

its has that problem. but drivers know. took out as much gas mixture as would siphon out. of the front tank. put in about 12 gal.of fuel. did that twice and it ran 1 or 2 days and that is when problems developed. only the front tank ran gas. i dont think it affected the tank switching box .probably will pull the tanks and start there. seems like a fuel restriction somewhere.

Default finally

checked tanks and the sending units were full of rotten strainer hose.dont think the gas did anything.stirring up the trash in the tanks was the problem

We get em in the shop every once in a while that ran gas in the diesel. Everything from B
Series Cummins to Power Strokes. We clean the fuel system out, replace the fuel filter and fill back up with diesel. We have not seen a pump damaged yet.
