Cummins Marine's general manager, Scott Patrohay, was named president of Cummins MerCruiser, which will be based in Charleston, S.C. Cummins, based in Columbus, Ind., is expanding beyond making diesel engines for heavy-duty trucks to include marine and power generators. Brunswick, based in Lake Forest, Ill., shed its camping, fishing, bicycle and cooler businesses last year to focus on marine engines, pleasure boats, fitness equipment, bowling and billiards.
