Default idle issue/check engine light

Hello, i have a 95 psd, and it only has 130k on it. never had any issues til yesterday morning when i was fast idling it, then it started to idle really rough, check engine light came on and it wasnt charging. I shut it off, started it back up, then it cleared up and ran fine the rest of the day but it seemed he chip wasn't working at first. (TS chip-75 hp i think is the max). Well i went to leave this morning, and almost immediately after starting it, it did the same thing (rough idle, check engine light is on, wasn't charging, and wouldnt take fuel at all-it just spit and sputtered worse). Does anyone have any ideas? I changed the fuel filter only 4,000miles ago, this is a daily work truck that i tow with about 400-500 miles a day average. I even cleaned the little screen last night that bolts to the side of the fuel filter housing (very dirty), cleaned the air filter and test drove it last night and it ran great! Sorry for so long, thanks for any tips, i have to get this thing fixed ASAP!

dang, noone ever had this happen??? code scanner says map sensor but a buddy said it sounds like the chip is messing up. I'm going to swap out the map sensor tomorrow and if that dont work, unplug the chip and see what happens!! have to get this fixed ASAP as this is a work truck sitting on a load for monday morning!!!!!!!!!

take the chip off first then get back to us, it could also be an injector harness shorting out fairly common problem on 7.3s

just went out and checked around all the harnesses. i didn't see anything out of the ordinary at a few places i peeled the tape off and looked, but is there somewhere i should be looking more specific?

where the injector harness problem happens is where the harness gos thru the valve cover gasket so its not something you can just see you have to use an ohm meter on them...lil google search will provide you with the steps to test them
