I have a 86 f250 with a 6.9 idi with a sidewinder turbo installed. The motor has 296,000 miles and is wore out. I have considered swapping it out for a powerstroke. I'm not sure about bolting it up to my c6. If it will even work. Does anyone have a sugestion about weither I should rebuild the 6.9 or just swap it

 

A powerstroke would be a fairly complex swap, its the electronics that complicate things. Probably at least custom motor mounts and a different tranny would be needed.

What is your budget, and how much work do you want to put in it?
