My Dad has a 1989 Georgia boy RV on a Ford E series drive line, that being a 460 and a C4 transmission. He is having a problem with the colum shifter, it wont put the tranny in park and the indicator doesnt line up well and its hard to tell what gear its in. The truck doesnt have a park brake and we are considering putting a manual brake from another ford.sounds to me as if the shift tube on the column may be cracked. Anybody have any idea's?

 

Got that thing fixed Ned'ers? Thinkin' yer right about that shift tube (but I could be wrong). Ya think about using an aftermarket floor shifted? Might mess up the living quaters, just say it's like one of those gearshift desk decorations.
