Default Turbosmart Boost Controller??

Anyone out there running the Turbosmart Boost Controller on a 2010 or newer 6.7L Cummins???? Wondering if its worth the money? I use my truck as a everyday driver and 50% of the time im empty and the other 50%of the time im hooked to a horse trailer or 40ft stock trailer and tow alot. Is it ok for my engine? Would it wear it out quicker????

I dont know how well it would work with a vgt turbo... I like the idea. On the vgt's it must take control of the vgt controller to actuate the vanes earlier through the ecm maybe?

I honestly think it would be a waste of money with the vgt's turbos. I think the mechanical ones would be decent for the older trucks

Its a variable geometry turbo. The vanes in the exhaust housing move to help spool the turbo faster. Thats also why your your truck has the turbo brake on it. The fins in the turbo move to create backpressure and help slow you down

Yeah the snows water meth kits really help to keep egts in check while towing and help give you a little boost in power as well. Id go with the stage 3 water meth kit with the adjustable controller for setting injection rates and you can also set it to come on with boost or egts
