Does everyone else's trucks ride good and smooth? Mine always seems to have a bounce. I've had the tires rotated and balanced lot of times and still my truck has the worst ride out of any truck I've been in. Any suggestions?

Ok I'll have to remember that when rime comes for tires. I hate these Goodyear wranglers I got when I got my new wheels. The ride sucks!

 

Ummm, they're actually air bags.

They replaced the overload springs and the truck doesn't have the "bounce your kidneys out of your backside" feeling anymore.

Gotcha. Looks nice. Easy to install? Fairly cheap?

 

Installs in an afternoon .... jack up the rear, remove the overloads, follow their install instructions, viola. It helps if you have someone to help, but that's mainly to cut down on time and get to the beer and pizza faster.

Price was great until I started upgrading ..... but that's just because I wasn't happy with the gauge failures and overall design.

You might be better off with doing your install with their replacement parts instead of the kit. The included air tank was about the size of a 64 ounce thermal mug (think Seven Eleven or Circle K style thermal mugs) and the compressor was maybe a 1/4 duty (use for 15 minutes, wait for 45 min cool down). For me to air up from 20 psi to 70 psi, I would have to do one side first and then wait for the compressor to play catch up so I could finish filling it. Then I would start the other side, play catch up again, and finish filling.

Needless to say, having the compressor kick on 3 or 4 times to fill my bags was a PITA. With the setup I have running now it doesn't even happen, but I'm also running 175psi versus 110psi, and 5 gallons of air versus maybe a gallon.

With AirLift's Wireless AIR remote controlled setup, all I do is switch between "Preset 1" and "Preset 2", which are defaulted to 25 and 75 psi, respectively. They either air up or air down as needed, and I love it.

That's why I was saying go with the replacement parts instead of the kit. Get your bags and mounting hardware from Firestone, the controller from AirLift, and a better tank and compressor from elsewhere.

I'm running train horns so I had more to do than you will, which was deleting everything but the bags and a few feet of red lines. The nice part is now I can air up tires, winterize my sprinkler system and RV by blowing them out with air, and terrorize the morons that cut me off when I'm towing something.
