turning up pump

Default turning up pump

hello all i have a question here i plan on getting a 88 f250 with 150000 miles an i want to turn up the pump i read the sticky an its easy to understand i plan on turning it up a 1/4 to half a turn i dont have a meter so will this harm the motor

I would not recommed that you turn the fuel up at all unless you get a pyrometer.... You may end up with a nice ornament in your driveway. If you are serious about turning up your fuel and want to take care of your engine you need to spend the money to get the pyrometer to monitor the EGTs.

ok so i just need to get a egt guadge then so wheres it hook to on the exhaust

drill and tap a hole in the driverside manifold near the rear. if it isnt a turboed motor, just drill and tap it. dont worry about the shavings. normal pyros use a 1/8 pipe thread.
