i have a 2003 dodge Ram 2500 quad cab 4x4 w/ L.B.- I was on my way home and as i give the truck some throttle, after slowing down to make a turn, the truck does not want to go. As i would give it throttle the truck would try and shift out of 1st to 2nd and still would not go.. i however got lucky to coaste into the drive way.. Now the truck would go in reverse fine... what could be wrong?? i pulled the dipstick and it smelled burnt, which i know is not good the truck has 165,000 mile so i am thinking the tranny is going to need a rebuild but if i can get some more possible problems before i assume that would be great!
