im looking to get a new truck and was wondering what motor and cab to get. i love my 12v but i think its time to upgrade to a truck with less miles and more room plus i just like the new trucks im gonna do chip, exaust and all that stuff just lookin for some input on what CR to get not wasting my $ on new dont see the point in the extra $15,000

im sticking with cummins dont give any other suggestions

I really like the mega cabs, thats what i want. I would also settle for a qclb, i hear the longer chassis rides a little better than the qcsb.
I see in your sig that you pull alot with the 12v, Is it goose neck trailers? I have heard some people dont like the mega cab because it has such a short box which is understandable. Hook that up to a goose neck trailer and there isnt alot of bed space left over. Just my 2 cents

It completely depends on what your using it for. Can't get much into a 6 foot bed, but then the kids don't fit in a regular cab, the wife can't park the quad, and all the older ones have their bad points and weak points. All the new ones have so much smog control tied into them, they have lost much of the allure.

But I say club cab if you can get it and a short bed for 4x4, Quad and a longbed for towing, but I think the regular cabs look the best.

most of the pulling is a tag trailer although i do have the goose neck but equipt trailer so its v shaped for the cab.

as for emissions they wont last very long ive been talking to a few places they dont do emission test on diesels here just safty test of light, horn all that bs. im looking for a chip with guages for what ever truck i get and quick on the fly power adjustments just for playin every once in a while 5" exaust 2" leveling kit with rear air springs and 35" tires.

like the mega cab but i havent seen any with well itd be pretty much a 2" lift my old 2003 hemi used to sit really high with just 2" and 35's

but as for the 6.7 how well does the exaust break work since i do my fair share of mountain pulling
