Default Oil pressure sensor location

My oil pressure gauge and light currently do not work and havn't since purchase, I want to sort this out as it makes me paranoid knowing i wont get any warning if pressure suddeny drops. I've had a bit of a look around the motor and can't locate the oil pressure switch/sender unit could someone please tell me where it is so i can test it and the gauge

i have a 98 an it was on the driver side about mid way of the motor its kinda tricky to get to but i could see it through the fender wall between the shock tower an inner fender. i personally went through about 4 sensors before i got ont to work. i also put a mechanical gauge on for peace of mind

Interesting, I have a spare plug hanging around that area, but also some connected, it seemsot have no spare counterpart hanging about...Strange, will investigate further soon.

Is it just a small plug in the block? The thing i've been looking at so far is part of the lift pump I think .

The oil pressure sensor is like $20 at autozone. Bought mine last month there. It's a PITA to change but doable.
