so on the door tag of my old cab its designated as a dana limited slip #6300 capacity with 3.54's so A) which dana is that. B) its a 4x4 and the vin confirms it but according to the code there is no front axle. what does this mean? anything special or they just screwed up the tag?

 

most likly a d60. but could be a d70. all dana axles have their size casted right into it. just gota look over the main pumpkin casting.

 

i see some almost unreadable numbers on it under the shaft. what am i lookin for

just checked from a diagram and at least my rear axle has no number it almost looks like an s or a d or some logo

 

can u get a picture?

normaly they are stamped near one of the ribs. will just say 60 or 70.
