I am at a cross roads with my truck as far as color. Its white now but am debating black or red not unlike the ultra bright Dodge Chargers. I guess I wanted to see if anyone had done anything exciting to their white trucks, ie. stripes, vinyl and such, before I pull the trigger on a whole new paint job.

 

I have a tail gate wrap on mine. And I also am in the midst of taking everything off thats chrome and replace them with black grill and bumpers etc. And red control arms leveling kit and traction bars

 

I say whatever you do, give it a "sport" look, painting body parts (door handles, mirrors, grill, etc.) the same color as the truck, but still with a little chrome accenting, it cant all be painted. And I would stick with white or paint it black. Only downside of black is its a son of a gun to keep clean.

 

Painting all the body parts to match the color sounds good. I am thinking of a BMW frost white.

 

i say if you have a dent in the door fix it ( i think i see one) then go all black and white. no chrome. everything visible either black or white. how's that sound? i can see it

 

Lol...yes that damn dent plagues my dreams. I plan to have it fixed before i go any further. I was thinking of a BMW frost white. Can I paint over chrome or does it have to be replaced.

 

chrome can be painted over,dont feel bad about dent stopping ya from painting i need a new fender before i can paint my 12valve,im getting flames up front & a black stripe on back fender with the cummins logo & a challenger str8 hood with 5.9 cummins painted instead of the hemi srt8 thats usaully there

 

if your wanting to paint your chrome parts black duplicolor sells some stuff that will give it that kinda look of black stainless. i think that would look cool on a white truck

heck i think a old british race car style paint job would look kinda cool. it would deffinatly be different on a dually

I decided to keep it white, though the tail gate is a beautiful black.... Will definitely being looking into the Duplicolor stuff. Tell me about this old British race car style paint job.

 

single stripe offset to the passenger side with the cue ball numbers kinda like the old cobras
