Default 6.7 cummins starts, sputters, dies

07 6.7, red lightning bolt flashing, check engine flashing, made popping sound, lost power and died. starts and rough idles for 10 sec or so, black smoking, then dies and wont start back. my xrt pro wont read the code? and insight?

sounds like a fuel problem. filter and or lift pump.

changed fuel filter, if lack of fuel, why the black smoke?

? cracked all the injector lines at the head, good fuel spray to there

cmon now tell em the truth. Its the grid heater clogged up.

Just figured it out... the clutch fan wiring harness has a short in it, can unplug the clutch fan harness and starts and runs fine, as soon as u plug it back in, it dies. I don't understand why it is throwing a code for every sensor known to man, but that is my issue, fan/clutch/harness = $571, finding the problem finaly, priceless
