Default 18's on second gen, how will it look?

Since we don't have a seperate forum for wheels/tires on this site I guess I'll post this here. I'm sving up for new wheels and tires on my truck and can't really decide what size to run. I'm really leaning towards 33-35" tires and can't decide between 16,17 or 18" wheels. Some body styles look much better with 16" than 18's and some look better with the bigger wheels. I'm just not sure what size to run on my truck.

So, anyone with pics of 18's on a 2nd gen Ram? Here are the style wheels I'm looking at, not neccesarily these particular ones, but this style at least.

IMHO, mark 16's OFF your list. On my 3rd Gen with factory 17's, Replaced them with Billet Specialties 17's, and had some brake caliper / wheel fitment issues. Had I gone with an 18, I would've been fine. It had to do with how the wheel was shaped. PITA and bad memories....

Go with at least a 17. I'm sure 18's would look fine. I KNOW 20's are too big.

GOOD looking wheel BTW!

I went to 17" wheels on my 2nd gen.
Kinda wished I would have stayed with 16".
Even with 37" tires, now 38.5", the 17" look to big.
With a 33" tire the wheels would swallow up the sidewall.
The bigger wheels don't quite look right on a 2nd gen.
But bigger tires look really good on a 2nd gen.
The 3rd gens seem to look OK with a 17" or 18".
No fitment issues with a 16" on a 2nd gen.
Of course this is just my opinion.

The thing that really makes me look hard at 16's is the price of tires. I can run a much nicer and bigger tire in 16's for what a "standard" tire would cost in 18's. 17's of course fall in between.

So Kirk, have any pictures of your truck?
