changing injectors help

Default changing injectors help

swaping out a stock set of injectors with another stock set..... whats the deal with getting these things reprogrammed does it need done? will the truck run without doing it?

there is no reprogramming to be done just have to prime them and usually it takes a few times to spin over to get it to fire. If you have help u can loosen each line one at a time while someone spins it over. Just make sure to barely crack the lines on the rail or at the injector. u just want the air to get out

DON'T PRIME IT AS HE MENTIONED.

Just take your time and make sure to inspect your connecting tubes CLOSELY. Especially where they seat in the injector. Also, inspect your copper washers.

the dangers of cranking a cr far outweigh the benefit, these trucks self purge, I doubt it will crank 10 seconds before firing, the truck will smoke white a few seconds after first fire as any excess fuel that ran out into cylindere from connector tubes burns off, but that is all. real easy on tightening the solenoid wires, 18 INCH pounds is all it needs or you will crack the stud right off an injector.

when dodge put my new injectors in that didnt need to be replaced he said he had to reprogram them and didnt get a number or letter right on one injector and he said it kept throwing a code dunno if it would make it run in like a limp mode or if it was just bs to by them a lil more time i dunno just what they told me ??
