Hey everyone I was thinking about putting aftermarket injectors in my 97 powerstroke any ideas on what stage of injectors to put in. Truck has 250K miles original tranny, 3'' downpipe with 4'' pipe all the way back. Thank ya

 

how much power do you want out of it? what do you want to do to it and how much do you want to spend?

 

Not a whole lot of power. I pull a gooseneck cattle trailer or a flatbed. And i dont want to spend a gob ya know, maybe a little.

 

No more then mild stage 1's or AC injectors.

Once you start adding injectors to the mix, your going down a slipery slope.

 

Plan on replacing the tranny once you do injectors

stage 1s will add the power that you want and you wont have to get a turbo or performance HPOP. Joebob is right, plan on a tranny

Another question. If i put stage one's in will it make it roll smoke or make it smoke a little more? How much power do they put? Will it hurt anything since i have a TS 6 pos chip in it?? Sorry just a little nervous

 

You will smoke a bit more with the stage 1's, but not excessive. You should get the chip reburned to take advantage of the added fuel capacity of the new injectors.

With my 1's and tunes, the smoke is very manageable... Definitely get a reburn from a custom tuner.
