I didn't get a DE, but similar. I've sold the truck, but here's what I experianced. The downpipe was a PITA, but the rest was a breeze. I had a K&N intake, no chip. The engine response wasn't dramatic, but noticable. I know I had a MPG increase because my tanks lasted longer(3 weeks of DD and messin around), but unsure on exact numbers, wasn't "amazing", but nice. Turbo spool up was quicker and louder. And rolling down the highway, it was quick to speed up when floored.

As far as gaining performance, quicker spool up and less heat. Thats about it. You wont see a huge jump in HP. Get yourself an intake like the Napa 6637 while your at it. I've got a Diamond Eye downpipe. It's not that bad. If you can get your hands on a port-a-power, you will save yourself a lot of time. You just need to massage the firewall a bit to get it to fit.

As far as getting the old downpipe out. Just cut the cobra head off the top right where it starts to turn down and pull it out through the bottom. Drop the top of the new 2 piece downpipe in and you will see where it hits the firewall. Make room for it and then mock up the system. Then tighten everything down.

Diamond eye downpipe is no worse than any other brand. Brand wise, 4" exhaust is 4" exhaust. Other than the downpipe, it is a very simple install using the factory mounts. Excellent choice, I have one myself.

this is gonna sound like a no brainer, but make sure you have a sawzall when you do it. when i did mine my buddys dad loaned his out and i spent 2 1/2 hours under my truck hacking away at the DP with an air saw. and find a porta power too, it took us 15 min to get my MBRP DP in
