Start with the oil. Verify that the oil level is where it should be. Next, check the oil level in the high pressure pump reservoir, it should be within an inch of the top. You need to have good fresh oil of the correct standard in it. The corect oil has an anti-foaming agent in it. It has an API rating of CF-4/SH or CG-4/SH or higher. Older oil can get foamy and foamy oil doesn't make good hydraulic fluid for your hydraulic injectors. Silicone (from a recent repair) can also deplete the anti-foaming agent. Play it safe and just change the oil. If this doesn't solve the problem, then move on to the next step.

The dangers of scanners in the wrong hands......

There is likely nothing at all wrong with the sensors you spent money on to replace. I assume you have a chip, programmer, or ICP fooler of some sort on your truck.

This code simply means that the high pressure oil pump is not able to supply the necessary volume to "feed" your injectors under high load/high RPM conditions and is not a sensor-related problem. It's very common on 7.3L trucks with performance-enhancing devices.

MY TRUCK IS NOT CHIPPED! ALL IT HAS IS INTAKE DOWNPIPE AND STRAIGHT PIPE. And the close comes back to a sensor not the oil pump guy.

P1211: Injection control pressure higher or lower than desired. (Not a sensor or circuit problem.)

P1212: ICP voltage not at expected level. (Can be a circuit or sensor problem.)

P1280: ICP circuit out of range low (Definitely circuit or sensor problem.)

P1281: ICP circuit out of range high (Definitely circuit or sensor problem.)

No assumption other than the aftermarket tuning or ICP fooler box.

From a previous post, Joe was trying to diagnose this by symptom only -without reading the codes. It took a fair amount of persuasion by many of us to get him to read the codes. Implying that he should not read his own codes was a slap in the face to all of us.

1211 can be an oil issue, 1211 can be an ipr problem, 1211 can be a pump issue, 1211 can be a an injector issue. 1211 can probably be caused by things you are aware of that I am not. Since Joe is so frustrated, I (we) are trying to guide him through some things he can do prior to having a professional diagnose/fix it.

If you can help that would be appreciated.
