Default 2nd Gen Raising Rear Bench for subs?

Has anyone done this to fit 12" subs in the back? I have a quad cab that I want to stick 2 12" subs under the bench but I was wondering if anyone has any experience or any help in doing this? Thanks!

I too want to know how. My 12's are 7ins deep and the seat is only 7.5ins from the floor. Not enough room for air.

I think the better idea is to get a sub box that fires downwards, with 12" subs. I have put "spacers" on my hinges and its not pretty, and it causes a few issues folding the seat up and down.

Any idea where I would find a box that fires down?

This box isnt for 12's but it is a down firing style not to say with some mods you couldnt put 12's in it. Not a bad price for it either.

Problem with that box is it only has 5.25ins of depth for the speaker. My 12's are 7ins deep.

He recently got a down firing box with 12's in it. I'm not too sure on the dimensions, but if ya ask nice he may measure it for you.

I'm not sure how your seat mounts in your truck... On my 99 silverado gasser, i had 4 bolts that mounted the seat down... i cut 1/2" pvc pipe in like 5/8" sections and put between the floor and the seat bracket... it was great, but still blew the surrounds on my speakers cause they were firing up into the bottom of the seats... Down firing (slot loaded) subs is a better choice for trucks, but your gonna have a very tough time puting those subs under the back seat... I eventually took the seat out and build a huge box with (2) 12" subs, amp rack and all instead of a back seat...

On my Sierra, i just bought a 10 and made the smallest custom box I could based on the specs of the speaker... it's ok - enough to fill the bottom end, but the volume is nowhere near what i've been used to my whole life... kinda miss the flexing back window and body panels... and the women it attracted... , but it's all good... at least i will be able to hear in the future... good luck man... I can help with some volume calculations and all if you need...
