Does the terms mid & high tier , mean mid & high quality ?
I've been running Rotella 15-40w , about B30 , with oil analysis from 2 different labs telling me that my oil at 10,000/11,000 is very good with TBNs above 9 .
Just changed to Amsoil 15-40w HD , oil pressures went up both cold & warm , so far so good .

Ya, I like how they didn't explain that a little more. I think the take home here is ya, maybe there could be some effects, but if doing OA's, there is no problem.
I take it that top brand oils like Delvac, Delo, Rotella etc held up better then mid level store brand oils. So it comes down to this, if you burn Bio you should use top quality oil. This should remind people that, you get what you pay for!
