Default 1994 Powerstroke motor issue

I just bought my 94 Powerstroke and it had sat for 3 years and driven maybe once a month by previous owner before selling it to me. When on my way home i stopped at a stop light and it started to chug like it was out of gas(showed 1/4 tank on gauge) I pulled into the first gas station with Diesel and fueled up. Problem stopped but on start up in cold it idles rough. Any Ideas?

your gauge have been off and could may have been off and you could have just been really low.

Have you checked fuel pressure yet?

Replaced fuel filter with no help, Im guessing at this point its Injectors since its got its original injectors at 227k miles. Taking it to shop next weekend to put Stage 2 injectors in

I personally would go with stage one's or stage three's... more bang for your buck.

Twin, would that be too much for an engine with 227k, all machoness aside and stuff I just don't want to spend thousands on a new motor. My wife would kill me, she already calls my truck the other woman :-)

Ok wait....Let me get this straight... Your having a running issue, so your going to throw new injectors in there without diagnosing the problem??? Sounds like a real expensive way to chase a problem... What if its the fuel pump not getting enough fuel to the injectors and you destroy your new injectors in which they wont be warrantied...
