Default tranny n t-case question

im in the process of doing a SAS on my 07 classic.its 2wd and im trying to see if the output shafts are the same on the 2wd ali and the 4wd ali.i was hopeing the t-case would bolt up to the 2wd tranny?i was told they mite be diif.could be differant splines?was hoping some on here mite kn?a lot easier to bolt a stock case up then to use a divorced case.

Tail safts on the transmissions are completely different...

But you can convert a 2wd into a 4wd, just unbolt and bolt the new one on. any tranny shop can handle this task.

its as easy as unbolting and bolting a new one on?do you know if the houseing is the same?im trying to find one on a lot i can look at?

Alright, more time to type now... Well its not that easy but that about sums it up. The c5 clutches will be exposed with the tail section off so youd have to have it sitting on the bellhousing so nothing moves or goes flying. Also the output shafts will be different in length and the speed sensor is located in the 2wd tail housing vs in the transfer case for the 4wd. Def try to find a manual shift tcase as well or else your gonna be heading for and electrical nightmare if you got push button setup.
