Default Sensor on airbox

I am going to put an intake on my 96 psd and I noticed there is a sensor in the airbox,do I need to put it back into the intake? It looks like it was already unhooked...thanks to all that apply

Just leave it plugged in and sitting on the fender or what not.

It reads intake air tempature.
no need for it to be in the intake.

Yup, just leave it hanging somewhere and it will be fine.
