Default Fuzz Busters?

Anyone know of any good Radar or laser detectors or even jammers (if they do exist)? I don't speed much but i do like to know if one is coming at me at night or is hiding somewhere, i bought a cheap $25 one from wal mart but it likes to start beeping AFTER i pass the cop , anyone know any good ones they can recommend?

Buy either a passport 9500 or a valentine 1. They are expensive but are well worth the price. The v1 is the best but does not have the GPS like the 9500. Google the reviews of each and you will see what I mean.

yea, i don't need the GPS, just lookin for a straight detector, but i will look into those, if there is a good model without the GPS i may grab it, just don't feel like paying for GPS if i don't have to get it

valentine one, hands down. The GPS is nice and sometimes I'd like it, but the V1 gives you raw data, and you take it how you take it. Read the manual. It isn't a golden ticket, most leos don't drive around with the radar on all the time, but you have a better chance than not having one. It saved my dad quite a few times, but my insurance is already too expensive to really test it.
The cheap ones work most of the time or whatever, but you can only really count on the high end ones.

also just as a little side bit the guy who started valentine worked for and designed the majority of passport products before he started his own company

Another vote for Valentine. Yeah, they might want your arm, leg, and first born (don't be surprised about the sticker shock) but its worth the cost.

First off you don't have to pay for the GPS it's there to log false calls. I have a v1 and I love the arrows but I hate how sensitive it is every time I drive buy a wal-mart or a gas station it goes off and I don't know I'd it is a cop or not. My passport records the false calls then it don't beep everytime I pass. Also it let's me know when I'm coming up to a speed camera or red-light camera. When the v1 starts to do that I will go back to it. Also all the test show that the 9500 and the v1 are on par with each other. It's just the v1 has the arrows which are nice and the 9500 has the gps which is also nice.
