Default Air Bag Suspension...

Ok, in the past, I have seen articles with a super soft ride 1-ton that utilizes a single leaf spring in the back to basically stabilize the axle, then an airbag for the actual load bearing suspension. Does anybody have a clue what manufacturer this might be, or if one of our vendors may handle anything like this? Thanks in advance-

Dan

I'm running a single airbag in the middle with self leveling valve. I cut all but the top two springs out of the back of the spring pack. This keeps spring wrap down with all the leafs in front. Rides like a half ton but will hold up any load I put on it. You can drive a 9000 lb. bobcat up with the bucket over the gooseneck and it will level right back up to ride height.

I made a frame out of two inch tubing on the rear end and made a drop bracket off of my gooseneck plate. My gooseneck plate is one inch thick plate and the air bag sets right under the ball. I've had it for about a year now with no problems. The only thing I need to change is a shorter bracket on the top so the airbag doesn't bottom out unloaded as bad.

I do have a belt driven on board air with a homemade 4X8 tube back bumper for a air tank.

no what i have in this picture on the hard drive is basically a tube 2" X 4" inch prolly 1/4" wall that replaces the springs completely and shortly after the axle it drops down for an air bag pad.. kinda like this http://www.stengelbros.com/RoadTamer.html like a road tamer setup gives u capacity and stops axle wrap
