Default Brokers, Where Do Ya Find Em???

So where exactly does one look for a broker? I had a few wrote down from my dealings over the past thousands of miles, but they have all been lost.

I know there are thousands that can be found on the internet, but what about finding someone thats like in my local area?? My yellow pages doesnt exactly have a listing for truck load brokers. I know its a trial and error thing to find a good one, but recommendations are ALWAYS nice. Thanks ya'll!

Phone book usually has a pretty good listing of them under trucking.

http://www.internettruckstop.com/

Thats what we used to use and my old boss still does. I wouldn't pull for any one broker, pull for all of'em. Thats the only way you can get the money you want. That website is good for just about everything. Just keep your info handy and fax it to the broker who's got the load you want when they need it and your good to go. Once you set up with them once, your set. Next time they have a load you want, all you have to do is give them your ICC number and they will turn you loose.
