its been rainging a good bit where i live & so far there have been 5 wrecks on the road i live on,iv been pulling people out for free but friend of mine said i should start charging poeple to pull em out.who thinks i should start charging them?most of my neighbors have cussed me out about how i wake them up with my truck,that my tires rut up the road & 1 of them throw a beer bottle at me when he passed me

 

Either way your taking ALOT of liability in your hands. Not only from being ticketed by a cop for not having a towing license but if you happen to screw up his or her car in the process without proper paper work and signatures they can go after you and seek damages incurred to the vehicle. Sad truth but it's the world we live in... The ONLY people I pull out are SOME friends and family only.

 

i know,but i always have write down that they understand i aint responsible if their car is damanged.i pulled the owner of a el cheapo truck stop out of the ditch in front of his own truck stop & every time i fill up when hes their he does his best to convince me i aint gotta pay for my fuel.iv only taken 5 gallons of diesel from him for free

 

I second red rattler. This is a s****y world we live in and people will do anything to get a buck.

 

That piece of paper means nothing when a chain/strap breaks and hurts someone. Just don't do it, unless its family or close friends make sure they are OK first then offer to call a wrecker.

 

ive learned, through friends of mine, u need to make sure that they realize that u arnt responsible for any dmgs...

if it where me id see some one stop make sure their ok and say "big ole rut causin tires wouldnt get stuck in that crap

 

I would pull em out. Get em to sign some kind of paper with a witness and all that good stuff

 

just the thought of a wreck makes my stomach hurt.

 

i said that to my mom once when she got stuck after my dad pulled her out.i always make sure someone under stands i aint responsible for damanage,i cant just drive by someone & leave stuck & if my truck aint able to get out i dont leave till someone else gets there,iv gone boggin with friends & someone would get stuck id be the only person there with whoever got stuck till they get out even if it means waiting till 4 in the morning
