suction sound when turbo builds boost

Default suction sound when turbo builds boost

Every time i get into it are climb a hill i get this lound suction noise and the only time it does
it is when the turbo is building boost any suggestions why this happens, are how to fix
it.

Sounds like you might have a boost leak. It might sound like a suction noise, but it's probably a pressure noise. The most common for this leakage on LB7's is on the dr boost tube, down low by the gear box. The ps hose that goes to the gear box will rub on the boost tube and create a hole. You can patch it with JB Weld, then add some padding so it won't happen again. I'll try to find some pictures of when I've done a few here at work.

Thanks for the info, i will look at it and find out. Also i am not building the boost i should be building.

that would definitely verify a boost leak
