Default HELP !!

i just installed new oem glow plugs and rebuilt and calibrated injectors ,
the truck is smoking like a chimney under accel,
seems a little sluggish ***** to the walls, but its like a crop duster, heavy white smoke
the tech who did the injectors said i had to drive it like i stole it for about 30 minutes to perge and flush the system,i lubed the injectors, and drained the heads of oil and anti freese before installing, truck stats up with a plum of smoke like before i did the job, also changed the fuel filter, and added 911,at idle the smoke is light if any, when under load a lot of whitish smoke,

is this normal for a 1997 7.3 ltre to do after inj and plug install
PLEASE HELP

No, It should smoke for a few minutes while it burns off the fuel and oil in the cylinders. If its doing more then that, or if it is extreamly white smoke then you have a cut O ring and need to pull and reinstall all the injectors.

You have a bad injector O ring or copper. Did you make sure all the coppers were installed and the old ones came out? Did you put a straight edge across the tops of the injectors before putting the valve covers back on?

Take a 2' or 18" level and put it across the tops of all the injectors. make sure they are all the same. If any are lower or higher then the rest there is your problem! If I had to guess it sounds like you have one that the copper fell off, or that you did not get the copper out of the cup from the old injector.

I've put injectors in 2 trucks (an OBS and SD), both smoked for about 5-10 minutes before clearing up. I'm gonna have to agree with CSIPSD on this.
