Default Whats The Skinny On EFI LIVE??

Does anyone have any info on EFI Live?? Do you tweak the programs with that little programmer gizmo or down load them from your computer to the programmer and then to the truck?? The 800.00bucks for that hand held programmer, i wonder if that has any tunes in it or if you have to find some from other people??? Any info guys???

Some retailers are selling them with a race tune. From what I understand you put the software on your lap top or pc and use your computer to make tunes. EFI live lets you tweak stuff that you can not do with a hand held. I can hook you up with some guys that sell theirs with a race tune, PM if you would like their info. I have heard one of these race tunes is a 500 hp tune.

Mcrat is the man! He is great to work with and very helpful in giving you advice on what will work best for you and your truck. I am pretty sure the 500hp tune is for the lly as he has to of them. I am sure that bobo nows his stuff to but have never talked to him

I've made some nice tunes and some really bad ones with EFI. My best ones were much more powerful and driveable than the Edge that I had prior. The best part is the fun you can have from learning and tweaking your tune.

Just remember to take BABY STEPS. Go a little too far and you'll pay the price. Get a pad and pen everytime you start making mods to the tables and start keeping a log of what effect each change had. Once you get over the initial overwhelmingness of EFI Live and start learning what tables control what you'll soon start figuring out what works and what doesnt. It takes a LOT of trial and error.

EFI is the way to go, but I'm waiting until the stand alone is done.
