Default Diesel, the new rice...

So I've been noticing lately the increasing amount of ricers turning diesel heads... It's weird. Like these people have no use for a truck and will never even put anything in the bed let alone tow but they're on sites like craigslist trying to trade their civics and eclipses for cummins. I swear people are like oooo oooo I wanna blow smoke!!!!!! ********. Stick to your jap crap.

Id say its pretty hypocritocal to say that and have a pic of your truck blowing smoke in your avatar.

Watch the language.

Anyways back to the topic of the thread...

I agree that diesels have become the sportscars of our generations... why spend all the money and work to try and get 300hp out of a civic when for the same amount of cash you make 800 with a diesel... and its much more practical...

Iv also noticed that i get a lot more respect from ricer turds on the road than befor... they dont pull up next to me reving there fart cannon anymore... now they know there going to get smoked...

Yes, I put a picture up for the diesel community on this site to see. We all know a modded cummins will blow some smoke. All that I am saying is that people are buying these trucks just to go around blowing smoke... Its becoming the new fart can and body kit. I've been asked countless times "do you know how to put a smoke switch on my truck??" answer... How about a nice solid programmer that will give you significant power increases and monitoring of vital engine temps and info? Oo no those are too expensive, I just want to blow some smoke that's all. This is kinda what I'm getting at here. I was a little mad about something when I made this thread so forgive me for coming off harsh.

i agree my best friend is the same way has a dakota with one bad balljoint and wont drive it.. the front end on his cummins is the worst i have ever drove but he drives it every day and he wont buy anything for it just anything that is free..drives me nuts.. but i used to be huge into imports but got into diesels a while back because i needed a truck and i am hard on everything that i drive and i had a few friends that had diesels and they hold up to quite a bit.. and i have owned mine for about a year and she fires up every morning and is ready for whatever.. i love it!

There's a bunch of people, mostly younger people, who will buy (or their parents will buy for them) a diesel just for show. They roll with all their windows down and all that because they think they are so cool. I HATE THAT! Especially, the people who put 8" and up exhaust tips and smoke switches.
Yes, I'm 19 and yeah, I have a Cummins, BUT YES, we DO TOW/HAUL around here.
