Dually Conversion
Also different wheel studs, sometimes different brake drums...
Normally if you change the studs out to accept duals, you will find your outside dual sticking out further than on a 'real' dually...
Check the axle part numbers for your truck and then a dually in the same year, see if they are the same?
Did you read the above posts? Gonna need more than that...
I found a guy locally that has a single cab long bed dually with a blown 454 in it he is selling pretty cheap, would it work if i just used the entire rear end from that truck? im not sure on the year and dont know if its 4x4 or not? thanks
don't what yr you are talking about but do from dually that from 77 to till 2000 that drums hubs and bearing are the same there may be diff in wheel studs that you have to change

there have been variations in the 14 bolt. If the perch width is the same as your truck, you should be good. Also keep in mind chevy spring perches are actually an inch closer (IIRC) on the back than the front. Just measure perch to perch, if they are the same, it will work. Then you should just need wheels, fenders, and a box (maybe?) to run duals.
Also the fronts are different, as you probably know, if you want to run dually front wheels.
