That truck looks like it was driven hard, put away wet... Low miles though.

have you ever had problems with that cummins motor at all?? whats wrong with it? I like em both ive heard of flaws in fords and dodges. i think theyre both good trucks. in colorado both fords and dodges outnumber chevys. that powerstroke probly isnt even broke in. watch out for Ibeam front suspensions they are hard on ball joints. opt for an f350

look for a 95-97 f350, they have the dana solid front axel. I prefer the ZF-5 manual tranny myself, my E4OD is a pile of trash its going out on me and im currently looking into a rebuild. the only downfall to the 1 ton is i beleive you can only get regular cabs which is small and crew cab long boxes whitch is a road boat. 97 models if i am not mistaken are ALL split shot injection as compared to the 94.5-96 single shot. i now of a guy running around my home town with 750xxx miles on his STOCK powerstroke, they are amazing machines. good luck with the new truck

Splitshots are only on the Cali models.

Others are singles.

The D50 TTB isn't all that bad. Everyone hates them because the springs settle and makes the tires tip in. But they will handle a LOT of abuse. Trust me I know!

Bergy1 is correct, it's only the Cali '97 and late '96s that had the AB Split shot injectors. All others are A0 or AA single shots. But they are much smaller at only 90cc of fuel vs 135cc on the AB split trucks so with just a chip or tuner you'll get a lot more power out of the split trucks. If you upgrade injectors it's a mute point and at that point I would go with single shots which will require a tuning change.

95-SimpsonOBS if you are looking to get a real tranny and want to get a BTS let me know. I just had mine shipped back and found a much cheaper way to ship them than the FedEx Freight that BTS uses. It'll save you a fair bit on the overall cost.

i've seen that truck on craigslist before. just judging by the black wheels, that seems to be a "kid thing". but i could be wrong. i would try and get a crew cab. better front end and more cab space. and the crew cabs are only 18 inches longer than a extra cab.

Rattlebomb, im positive that he has that many give or take a few but he bought it as a tow rig and hes towed a stock trailer all over the country with it, just one of those trucks that youcant kill i guess

GT thanks a lot, ill be sure to get a hold of you when i get the BTS tranny.
