Sad gen light on low charge

so i was on my way to work tonight where i currently am and i noticed my gen light came on, i looked at my volt metter and it wasnt on the middle mark but the mark to the left of the middle one, i recently installed new 100 watt head lights in my truck i have the new heavy wiring harness but its not in yet, i have a tailgate light bar thats plugged into my trailer electrical socket and i just recently got new tires and put new brakes on along with fixed a tranny line leak, ive had my headlights for 2 weeks now and i know there not stock wattage, its raining here today! i did check the wires to the batteries and they all seem tight, i have not checked the fuse yet

IF you have a voltmeter at were you work hook the two leads on the alternator to check you output at the alternator one on te power line from the alternator and one on the ground and it should be about 14 volts running if not you may have a bad alternator and would recommend upgrading to a higher output alternator for that year due to the higher demand of power for the lights

I doubt unless you've got a short it's the headlights. You need to know if it's charging? Crank Sensor can cause a no charge, We alternator as stated , or a bad PCM can cause no charge!
