Default f250 solid front

i have a 97 f250 with the dumb a$$ independent suspension. some people may like it but as for myself i dont at all. so im wonderin, i know people have done it, how difficult and how expensive would it be to put a solid front axle on my 97 stroker?

its real easy and costs depend, i bought a complete truck for the front end i put in my old powerstroke and actually made money after parting it out, but i have also seen guys asking $1500 + for Dana 60s

it is a direct bolt in, just make sure you get the spring plate and track bar and bracket.

just finished the dana 60 swap a while ago, it's direct bolt in but I had some brake hose issues and had to use F350 brake hoses. I bought mine from a parted out 1992 f350 for $350!!!!! i think 1988 to 1997 solid fronts are all the same.

Up to 1992 was a kingpin front end so you can go hightsteer. 1993 up went to balljoints.

over all the swap is easy. i did it on my 94 f250. eveything ligned up and the only holes i had to drill were for the sway bar. when you find an axle, make sure the tie rods, trac bar, and ball joints ar all good.
