My dad has a 07 lbz with the banks big hoss bundle with the six gun tuner and pda he keeps having trouble with it dying wen it sits and idles on a hot day. The engine temp is normal it just seems like the tuner under the hood is getting hot or something. When it dies it says cam position sensor, but if he opens the hood for about 15 minutes it starts rite back up. This problem only occurs with the banks tuner plugged in if we disconnect it its fine it also stalls under hard acceleration and says low fuel rail pressure. Can these problems be linked to one another, or has anybody else experienced anything like this?

Sounds like 2 seperate issues...have you changed the Fuel filter lately?

 

1st thing is change the fuel filter. 2nd is to either shim the fuel rail fitting or buy the race valve from ppe to stop the low rail pressure code.

I'm not sure about the cam position sensor.
