No overdrive and i need it

No overdrive and i need it
last week i pulled off the highway for a second and my overdrive worked fine, and then i get back on the highway and there is no overdrive. and my top speed is 55 at 2500rpm
- i tested the tps and got 1v at idle and4v at WOT
- Brake switch was replaced about a month ago
- Tach and spedo still work
- my overdrive switch still goes out of overdrive becasue i can lock the convertor at 30mphs
- i was low on fluid. ...
Any Ideas?
1997 Dodge Cummins 4x4
