What would cause the security light on the dash to flash every once in a while? I have noticed it more so at night maybe something do with the head lights or maybe i just notice the bright light when it comes on and it is dark. any help or ideas did not get an owners man when i bought the truck

i thnk its just saying that the truck is unlocked. cause if you shut the door and lock it it will stay solid for a sec.

I installed a deal to hook a ipod to the stock radio and mine will do that too. I think it has to do with the info computer getting messed with by the extra device.

it only happens when i have my foot on the brakes but not every time and i have to have hold it down for a little bit be for it will come on. and i did just add cruise to my truck. all i did was get a turn lever with cruise and plugged it in and every thing worked good. even the little green light on the dash works. but maybe this would be y this is happening

and what did u add to plug your ipod in to stock radio?

check grounds. my dash was doing funny things, found a ground on the firewall loose. cleaned and tightened it and no more issues.

I've always chaulked mine up to aftermarket radio or not using the security protocal for pulling the factory radio... I have no clue if i'm right or not, worth a shot tho...

I'll have to pull the paper work out when I get home to get the brand name, but it was the only deal Best Buy had to plug into the stock radio. It piggy backs into the stock radio using the dvd system part of the radio.
