Well Dogone IT! my post count is going to go down after this! even tho it is currently at 1. I wil be on monday night Sept 27th 2010 but on tuesday the 28th I am going in for surgery at 5:30 in the morning. then out by noon. I was told I will be down for the week . They are going to bust a (6 IDK the measurements) small kidney stone. Had this thing since july. I even lost a job because of it! I was told I will be in much pain. They are going to stick a tube (I will not say) in(up) me! So till next week or however long it takes for me to recover. You all stay out of trouble!

i explicitly told my Urologist NOTHING was going "up in there" to get my kidney stone, one i had broken up by lithrotripsy (it was the size of a new pencil eraser) and 2 i passed naturally with the help of Oxycodone. they aren't fun....

 

good luck i have had that done. it was not as bad as i figured it would be, but i had good drugs to help.

 

I don't want the oxicodone either. With all the modern technology you would figure they would have it all figured out. It would be nice if the doctores were held to the same standards as Diesel Techs. But NO They are prcticing medicine. I have been told my urologist is one of the best over hear. I figured no need to live in fear, let the doc do his job I say. I have been very blessed to good doctors around me.

 

It'll be a few days, but doubt a week. Been there done that. Even had them get them surgically through the kidney itself (last resort, kinda dangerous).

Sucks no matter how you get it done. But basically easy done (considering you'll be out cold, heh). Good luck to ya.

 

I passed a 3mm stone on my own about 2 years ago and that was HORRIBLE.
