Default lb7 injector nozzels

i may have the opprtunity to buy a DMAX yeah i am a cummins guy but i might be able to get the lb7 for cheep it has leaking injectors and 149000 miles its on a maintenance schedual threw the company i work for its a bosses truck so hardly ever used what is the truck worth and if i do get it i was wonderin if i had to replace the whole injector or if i could just replace the nozzels if i have to do injectors what ones do u recomend i plan on doin aftermarket stage 1 there a lot cheeper then the factory bosch

my plans after the injectors were a 4-5" exaust and the edge juice any help would be great not that formilliar with the d max but after drivin it i have to say its not that bad of a motor pulled a 27' enclosed threw the mnts perfect

still love the 98 12valve for the truck pulls though.

150,000ish miles, I'd replace the entire set of injectors. From what I've heard, they are a labor intensive project.

well the LB7 injectors suck to replace and there is a good chance youll have to replace the whole injector, there is a recalll for 7years 200K i dont know if it falls in that band it is getting awefully small now. the project is labor intensive but can be done if you have some mechanical skills.

Defiantly look into the 7yr/200k mile warranty and replace the whole thing is a must,

Replace all 8 injectors. That warranty has probably expired by now unless you had a late model '03. 6.5hrs/engine bank, 13hrs labour-> $1800 in parts, $3200 in labour ~$5000 for the job from most diesel shops unless you're able to do it.

Replacing the tips will do nothing for the injector as it is the ball and seat in the body that wear out. If you are there replace all eight. Unless you plan on getting a bigger/dual CP3's use the stock injectors.
