96 f350 automatic trans 2wd will only move in reverse, when in drive or low the rpm goes up and the drive shaft turns slowly but the truck doesnt move. i thought it might be the differential or the whole axle but itll drive in reverse so im stuck

 

trasmission is most likely junk or the clutch plates are fried,
