The F250 front TTB axles are leaf sprung correct? If so it should be an easy swap because the suspension is pretty much there. you would have to remove the center mounting brackets for the TTB arms and bolt a solid front axle in its place from with it looks like. the factory steering box should work fine but you would have to get a steering dragling to mount from you pitman arm to the steering knuckle but I am sure you could probably use a front axle and steering from a newer model solid axle 250 or 350 as long as it was a leaf sprung front.

Just find a 4wd F350 donor truck and it will have everything you need

just make sure you get the steering components after the pitman arm, the trac bar and the u-bolt plate, then it is just a direct swap deal.
take out the old and swap in the new.
i did mine in about 2 hours by my self taking my time.

so my frame should be made to bolt up a 4wd front end right? i was told it would and i really hope it does...what about clearance under the engine and front end for the new tranny and drive shaft? will it fit without mods?

My truck is a 96 f250, the previous owner really tweaked that shitty TTB. My Dana 60 came from a 92 f350 and everything was direct boltup except brakehoses, U bolt issues and cutting the bolts that hold the TTB off of the crossmember. well worth your time!
