hi i have a p 1249 code on my 2002 f-350 7.3 powerstroke, truck turns over for a long time before starting, when it finally starts it runs rough and sluggish. when i give it throttle puffs of white or blue smoke comes from exhaust. just got home from a 200 mile trip pulling my camper and it drove and ran fine , then the next morning this started happening any help please thanks.

 

Sounds like you have a bad injector O ring or more... Need to run some tests on it, do you know anyone with a scanner?

 

hi thanks for replying i do have a buddy with a scanner , i have been checking the codes with my superchips cortex i can read codes and clear them i did clear the codes yesterday and today two new codes show up p1211 and p1282 but the code p1249 was gone thanks for your help any advice is greatful

 

Run an injector Buzz test and a cylinder contrbution test. Also check your duty cycle and ICP pressures...
