Made my headache rack over the winter. Just finished modifying it to accept tonneau cover and stack. Over the past week I made my own 5" stack out of a 3 foot piece of tubing and bought material for making a tonneau cover. Had help with the sewing of the cover. Not a show truck but $250 for stack, plumbing for stack, vinyl, and tubing for headache rack plus paint and supplies for everything I'm happy. Not sure what to do with the spare tire mount.

Looks pretty good. You could move the spare mount to the top of your headache rack to the tire is above your roof. Just an idea.

Over the roof was an idea when I originally built it. I may do that and put a couple rear facing lights on some day.

 

I plan on building my own flatbed someday and I'll probably put the spare over the roof. I like it, plus it gives you places to put lights, a hi-lift jack, or whatever.
