Default dana 60 ????s

what year did dodge use a dana 60 front axle with NO CAD system and 32 spline shafts? my dads 02 has a dana 60 under the front end and someone welded all the mounts and brackets to it and it looks really good but the bearings went out in it and it made the truck undrivable until we pulled the axle shafts out, it has 32spline shafts and a locker or something because the pinion bearing went out and froze the pinion and ring up and it would let the front tires spin at all, which shouldnt happen if it was an open diff right?

Mid year 02 is when they started using the noncad axles. My 02 is noncad also.

I believe so. I had my axles pulled out not that long ago but I never checked to see how many splines it had. Most info I have read indicates they switched to the 32 spline at the same time.
