I replaced my timing cover gasket when i redid my vp44 pump.

I have a 2002 dodge 3500 it says on the tag it was made in late 2001

Try and find a felpro gasket that fits under that year! they don't list it. The one they sell is for a 12 valve not the 24.

After lots of searching if found the right one. It is a felpro TCS46001 in case someone should need one.

So why do i have a 24 valve engine when all they list are 12 valve?

Or is the gasket manafacturer so dumb they only list a 2003 and it's wrong too.

Makes me wonder about some folks that are in bussiness

Lastly, you could have used a gasket maker (the Right Stuff) or regular rtv - you didnt really need a new gasket.


When you had the cover off, I hope you took care of the KDP.....

 

I thought the KDP wasn't an issue after '98. His truck is an 02. Am I wrong?
