hey guys i have the oppurtunity to buy a 96 reg. cab long bed 2500. says the tranny went on it. it's got 169000 miles on the truck and says motor runs fine. the guy is asking $1200. i haven't seen it yet but would it be worth buying and building the tranny-i can do it myself what would be a rough price range? thinking of using it for some off roading and adding some power of course.

id be all over that, is it 4x4, ive seen engines alone on craigslist goin for that, if its in decent shape, i say get on it, sounds like a deal
